Beautiful Morning

Here’s where we are staying in Utrecht for a week before heading off to a small town where we’ll be pet sitting.

We have been transplanted to a world that is operating 9 hours earlier than ours so our sleep timers are off a bit (jet lag). Not to mention we were up & at it for about 27 hours yesterday (minus about a 30 minute nap on the plane).

So after going to bed at about 6pm local time and getting a great night’s sleep, I woke up to find it was only 11pm! So I closed my eyes and pushed on through, forcing myself* to sleep about 6 more hours before finally getting up at about 5am. (*not to brag but can I sleep at a championship level when I put my mind to it)

Shannon - well she wasn’t so lucky. She’s been awake most of the night and finally just went back to bed again. But that’s ok, we’re on vacation and our time is our own. And besides - no breakfast places are open yet and we don’t have much to eat here anyway.

But I just had to see what our canal looks like this time of day so I stepped out for a bit to snap a couple of pics.
