FOMO
Female On My Own…….
I gotta say I’ve been looking forward to having sole control of the remote so to speak.
There are a lot of advantages of being together and sharing the responsibilities of traveling but I’ve quickly developed a new appreciation for having to manage on my own. It takes a little more time to accomplish everything without an extra navigator. You should have seen me trying to park the van in the woods while trying to find a level spot for the night. Humbling. (Back and forth 2 feet at a time, circle around the campfire, oh yeah, point the other way in case I need a quick get away, What was that?, oh I must have run over the campfire, Geez, How hard can this be?)
Yesterday marked five years since Les died. I commemorated him by slowing down and indulging in taking care of myself instead of racing to a self imposed deadline destination.
I had a great visit with my uncle and then my sister in Walla Walla. Later I found a mountain bike park just outside Pendleton, Oregon.
